I write under the Freedom of Information Act 2002 to ask what number of community centre venues are within your local authority estate, of those how many are available to hire free of charge, how many charge for hire, what is the average charge for hiring a venue, and how many are earmarked for closure within the next five years?

And to ask how many schools in your local authority are available for hire by external groups, what percentage this is of the total number of schools in your local authority area, and what is the minimum, average and maximum cost of hire?

We have 9 Community Centres / Sports Facilities. All are available for hire for a charge. Information on rooms that can be booked with associated costs etc is contained within each attachment.


No venues are earmarked for closure at present.

Rooms within 7 Secondary Schools are available to hire (0.13%). Venues & costs are within the attachments.
