We are required to adopt a consistent and relevant approach to the assessment of design and place quality as set out by the Scottish Government.
A Quality Audit process has been introduced to support placemaking in the Moray Local Development Plan (MLDP) 2020. This process will be the main tool used to determine compliance with Policy PP1 Placemaking and other relevant policies of the MLDP 2020, which was adopted on 27 July 2020.
The Quality Audit consists of 9 categories and will be assessed by a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants are encouraged to use the Quality Audit as a basis for their Placemaking Statement. Policy Interpretation Guidance is currently being prepared.
