Meals on Wheels:
1. How many meals on wheels were distributed by your council in each of the last five calendar years?
2. What was the cost of a meal to users in 2011 and now in 2020?
3. How many users of your meals on wheels service were registered in 2011 and now in 2020?
4. How many complaints did your service receive in 2011 and 2020 (so far)? And for 2020 can you provide details of the types of complaints received – cost of meals, cold food etc
5. If you no longer offer a meals on wheels service when did you discontinue it?

Street lights:
1. How many street lights is your council currently responsible for in 2020 and how many in 2011?
2. Does your council currently switch-off street lights for the whole time during the night i.e. from last light to first light? If so, how many lights are switched off
3. Does your council currently switch-off street lights for a period of time during the night i.e. for a set number of hours each night? If so, how many lights are switched off?
4. Does your council currently dim street lights for during the night? If so, how many lights are dimmed?
5. Is your council planning to switch off or dim street lights in the future?

Meals on Wheels

1. How many meals on wheels were distributed by your council in each of the last five calendar years?

2016/17: 20124 meals distributed and 139 registered users
2017/18: 19604 meals distributed and 131 registered users

(The service ended in 2018.)

2. What was the cost of a meal to users in 2011 and now in 2020?

2011 - £3.60
2012 - £3.78
2013 - £3.90
2014 - £4.00
2015 - £4.20
2016 - £4.45
2017 - £4.45
2018 - £4.45

3. How many users of your meals on wheels service were registered in 2011 and now in 2020?

2011-2012 - 376
As the contract ended in 2018 no users were registered in 2020, however during the last year of the contract (2017-2018) 131 new users were registered.


4. How many complaints did your service receive in 2011 and 2020 (so far)? And for 2020 can you provide details of the types of complaints received – cost of meals, cold food etc

One complaints was received in 2011. As the service finished in 2018, no complaints were received in 2020.


5. If you no longer offer a meals on wheels service when did you discontinue it?

RVS ended their service in Moray in 2018.

 

Street Lights

1. How many street lights is your council currently responsible for in 2020 and how many in 2011?

2011: 16,751

2020: 18,713


2. Does your council currently switch-off street lights for the whole time during the night i.e. from last light to first light? If so, how many lights are switched off 3. Does your council currently switch-off street lights for a period of time during the night i.e. for a set number of hours each night? If so, how many lights are switched off?

No


4. Does your council currently dim street lights for during the night? If so, how many lights are dimmed?

Yes. 11,048 lights.


5. Is your council planning to switch off or dim street lights in the future?

We are currently in the process of completing our LED replacement scheme, any of the remainder of the lights that require to be dimmed will renewed during this process. There are currently no plans to switch lights off for part night.
