Please provide, in accordance with FOI, the number of:

- CCTV,
- ANPR,
- body cameras,
- thermal body imaging cameras

you have currently;

and how many you have in the four previous years – 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, and 2018/19.

I appreciate the latter two may not apply.

If there are any other types of cameras, used for surveillance purposes, please state what they are, and how many you have at present and in the past four years.

If possible, please also provide a list of reasons for which any targeted surveillance is used?

Please provide as much information as possible in response to this request.

Moray Council have no ANPR, body cameras or thermal body imaging cameras.  

For the time periods quoted Moray Council have 36 funded  public space CCTV cameras which are operated by Police Scotland.

Moray Council's Community Safety team have  2 portable CCTV sets  which can deployed overtly in response to identified antisocial behaviour issues.

In addition, there are CCTV cameras installed at 40 Council properties. In accordance with section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 we can confirm that no information is held regarding the date these have been in use, or the total number of CCTV units.
