FOI Request - Rough Sleeper Reconnections

Request 101001978573

I would like the following information about the council’s Reconnections scheme to assist rough sleepers from outside the area back to accommodation and support in their home area or elsewhere.

For each of the following questions I would like the information broken down by year for:  2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 to date.

1. As part of the council’s reconnection work for rough sleepers, how many times did the council pay for a one-way bus, train or plane ticket to help someone return to another area (broken down by year)?

2. If possible please list:
A. the destination of each ticket provided (town/city name and name of council that covers that area),
B. the date it was issued on
C. and the amount spent on each ticket-
(All broken down by year). If it is not possible to provide the date please provide the other details.

I would be grateful if you could provide this in a spreadsheet format.

We do not have a Homeless Reconnection Policy as such but we will assist applicants to return to their area of origin if they wish to.

We will facilitate this by signposting applicants to the Scottish Welfare Fund for financial assistance and in very few cases we have directly funded applicants to travel. To collate the requested information would cost in excess of £600 and so in accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost, please be advised that we are unable to provide this information.
