FOI Request - Food Sampling (2)
This is a request specifically about food sampling and food law enforcement and should be passed to your relevant department.
Please outline how many restaurants, takeaways, other eateries and food production places your local authority have done food sampling tests at in the last year.
Please provide details of each sampling including:
In each incident of testing/sampling please outline what the premise was, where the premises were and what action, if any, resulted in the sample test.
When the sampling/testing was conducted
What type of testing/sampling was done
What was discovered by the testing/sampling, if anything.
If, for any reason, you are unable to provide details of the exact name of the premises please provide the location as precisely as possible (street etc)
For each of these questions please also provide all the same answers for the years, 2015, 2016 and 2017 too.
Please find the requested information here. However ,please note that to answer details of each action taken for every sample requires every record to be examined which would cost the Council in excess of £600. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 we are therefore unable to provide this information.
The operating procedure for sample results are:
Satisfactory - confirmation sent of satisfactory sample Unsatisfactory - if made in Moray - investigation and appropriate action taken
If made out with Moray - details passed to relevant home authority for action as they deem necessary
