Draft Kinloss Golf Club Masterplan
A draft Masterplan has been prepared for Kinloss Golf Course and provides a framework for the development of 20 house sites, 16 individual holiday cabins and 6 glamping pods, alongside amenities including a games room, toilets and showers, social area and outdoor space incorporating a play park and BBQ area.
The masterplan aims to create a unique sense of place by closely integrating proposals for new housing and holiday accommodation within the golf courses wooded surroundings and wider landscape. A design code has been developed that seeks to deliver high quality, well designed buildings with simple form and proportion that respect the traditional rural vernacular.
The draft masterplan is being consulted upon for an 8 week period which starts on 14 May 2018 and ends on 6 July 2018. Paper copies are available to view at Forres Access Point, Auchernack, High Street Forres IV36 1DX and Forres Library.
Comments can be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing to Moray Council, Development Services (Development Plans), High Street, Elgin, IV30 9BX. Comments must be received by 6th July 2018.
During the consultation period, a public drop-in exhibition is being held at Kinloss Golf Club on 31 May 2018 from 4pm to 7pm, where the draft masterplan can be viewed and officers will be available to deal with queries.
Comments received will inform the final Masterplan and these will be presented to a meeting of the Planning & Regulatory Services Committee of Moray Council in September 2018 for approval. Should the final Masterplan be approved, it will become Supplementary Guidance to the LDP 2015 and will be taken into consideration in the determination of subsequent planning applications.
