1. The number of Qualified Teachers of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (QTVIs) employed by your local authority to support pupils with a vision impairment.

For clarity, a QTVI is defined as someone considered competent as defined in the Scottish Government Guidance on appropriate qualifications for teachers of children and young persons who are hearing impaired, visually impaired, or both hearing and visually impaired, Appendix A: Competences for teachers of children and young persons who are hearing impaired, or visually impaired, or both hearing and visually impaired. [1] This question specifically asks for the number of QTVIs who in their role wholly or mainly support vision impaired pupils.

2. The number of children and young people with a vision impairment in your local authority by school year group.

3. The number of QTVIs in your local authority who have qualified since the 1st of January 2013.

4. The number of QTVIs in your local authority who have qualified since the 1st of January 2013 whose QTVI training was fully funded by your local authority.
