FOI Request Pedestrian Footway Records
We request information, and any supporting documentation, concerning the frequency at which you inspected each category of pedestrian footway within your local authority area, for the likes of pavement problems and defects, during the year 31st December 2011 to 31st December 2012.
We expect you hold policy documentation in support of the above and accordingly request a copy of that policy also, on the basis that this falls within the scope of our request made under the Act.
Pre-February 2012:- our inspection policy was contained within our Road Maintenance Plan (Attached HERE). Please note that the inspection frequencies stated within the Plan were revised in 2008, as per the ‘Safety Inspection Frequencies (by hierarchy)’ document attached HERE
February 2012 onwards:- this information is already available online within our Road Asset Management Plan (see Footways Lifecycle Plan, Section 4) and is therefore exempt under Section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
