Sale of Land, given the extensive use of common good land in Forres could you please tell the people of Forres how much income has been derived from Scotrail and their contractors.

In connection with the rail upgrade at Forres the Council has leased land at Councillors Walk held on the Forres Common Good account to Network Rail to be used as a compound and haul road.

The lease is initially from 1 March 2016 until 1 October 2017 at  a rent of £17,580 (which also includes a one off admin fee of £165). If occupancy extends beyond 1 October 2017 additional rent will be charged at a rate equivalent to £11,000 per annum
