FOI Request Equality Impact Assessments
I request all the updated Equality Impact Assessments as referred to on the Moray Council website and all those Equality Impact Assessments made (original or otherwise) but not currently included on the website. http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_66779.html
Many of these EIAs date from 2008 and state that they need to be renewed after one year if the policy has changed and three years if the policy has not changed. Or they do not include a review date. However, the updated EIAs are not included on the webpage. What is the reason for the delay and/or absence in reviewing these policies?
In particular, I request the Equality Impact Assessments related to the 32/33 period week proposal from 2014, the amended 33 period week proposal from 2016 and the current (2017) 33 period week proposal for 2018.
This information is exempt under Section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Information Otherwise Available. We no longer publish EIAs separately on our website. They are attached, where applicable and in accordance with our Public Sector Equality Duties, to the relevant committee reports which can be accessed through the Moray Council website. The most recent reports can be found at http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_39823.html
The EIA for the current 33 period week is not ready for publication but will be attached to the relevant committee report so is therefore exempt under Section 27 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Information Intended for Future Publication. The committee meeting is due to occur on Wednesday 14th June so the reports should be available within the next 2 weeks.
