FOI Req: Staff Relations with Pupils and Compensation Payments
1. Details on how many school staff within your council area have been disciplined for inappropriate relationships with pupils in the past year (January 2016 – December 2016, inclusive). If possible, for each case please tell me the staff member’s position (IE teacher, classroom assistant janitor, dinner lady), whether it was a primary, secondary or special needs school, the outcome of the disciplinary process and whether the matter was reported to police.
2. Details on how many times police have been called to schools within your council area in the past year (January 2016 – December 2016, inclusive). For each instance, please tell me whether it was a primary, secondary or special school and provide a brief description of why police were called.
3. Details of all compensation payments made by your council in the past year (January 2016 – December 2016, inclusive). Please break down your response into (a) compensation payments made to council staff and (b) compensation payments made to others. In your response, please provide a brief explanation of why compensation was paid out, and how much the claimant received. Please provide a total amount for the year.
