FOI Request - Blue Flag Applications
I am looking for the following information, under FOISA, which I believe you hold:
With regard to the Blue Flag Scheme, please provide:
• For each financial year since 2011;
1. For applications made;
a. The number of applications your authority has made to the scheme for certification;
b. A list of those beaches for which certification was applied for;
c. The number of FTE staff who supported the those applications;
d. The expenditure (revenue and capital) on that team or department; and,
2. For applications which achieved certification;
a. The number of certifications your authority achieved;
b. A list of those beaches for which certification was achieved; and,
3. Applicable reports of meetings of members of the council regarding blue flag applications and certification.

This information is not held and is therefore exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Blue flag scheme is a global scheme, administered by http://www.blueflag.global/ but there's a website for Keep Scotland Beautiful that administers the scheme in Scotland http://www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/
