Will my pay or terms and
conditions change?
|
Where
there is a significant change to duties and responsibilities likely to
have an impact on the grade for the post, then the post will need to be
re-evaluated through the scheme and this may affect what you are paid.
The timescales for this process are dependent on the scale of the
requirement to re-evaluate posts and the resource available to carry out
the work. Once these factors are known this work can be planned and costed.
Your terms and conditions may change in respect of, for example,
working location, working hours, patterns of work, etc. However
no contractual change can be made without consultation and agreement.

Will my terms and conditions
change?
|
This
depends on whether there is a contractual change affecting your post. So
your terms and conditions may change in respect of, for example, working
location, working hours, patterns of work etc. However no contractual
change can be made without consultation and agreement.

Will
this affect what I am paid?
|
Where
there is a significant change to duties and responsibilities the job will
need to be re-evaluated and this may affect what you are paid. Where this
would result in a downgrading the current policy provides for protection
on the basis of payment of the full difference for 3 months, half the
difference for a further 3 months, thereafter being paid the rate for the
job.

If
I manage less staff after the DBS changes, will my job be re-evaluated?
|
The
number of staff managed is not directly material to the evaluation of any
post under the job evaluation scheme. It is the nature of the duties and
responsibilities that is important and in relation to managing staff, it
is the level of the supervision or management that is taken account of.
So, unless the number of staff changing affects the nature of the
supervision or management carried out, then there would be no need to
re-evaluate the post.
|
If
new or revised posts are re-evaluated, how much will this cost & how
long will it take?
|
This
is dependent on the scale of the requirement to re-evaluate posts and the
resource available to carry out the work. Once these factors are known
this work can be planned and costed.
|
Will
all posts with revised duties be re-evaluated through the job evaluation
scheme?
|
Not
necessarily. This will depend on the extent and nature of the change to
duties and responsibilities. Where there is a significant change to duties
and responsibilities likely to have an impact on the grade for the post,
then the post will need to be re-evaluated through the scheme.
