Second Moray Local Transport Strategy
The Second Moray Local Transport Strategy (MLTS2) has been prepared in order to help plan for improved transport infrastructure and services in the area.
In accordance with guidance issued by the Scottish Government the Local Transport Strategy has been developed through the Scottish Government Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG) planning and appraisal process and the requirements of the Strategic Environmental (SEA) Regulations.
All comments received on the proposals being brought forward in the draft Local Transport Strategy and the associated Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) were reported to the Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday 8 March 2011.
The Approved MLTS2 document has been prepared in two sections, available below.

Moray Council Active Travel Strategy 2022-2027
The Council adopted Morays Active Travel Strategy 2022-2027 at the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee on 15th November 2022.
The new Active Travel Strategy aims to build on the increase in walking and cycling in Moray over the next five years.
The plan embeds the ethos that Active Travel has many benefits to both communities and individuals, and has a number of positive outcomes for public health, social inclusion, reducing the environmental impact of transport and for supporting local economic activity.
National priorities of walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport over single occupancy car use, will be embedded in Council decision making to address any challenges and achieve key priorities.
