Minibuses for Hire
Council Minibuses are available for hire to schools and community groups associated with education, religion, or social welfare. They are not available for general private hire.
Minibuses with up to 16 seats are available. A small number of these vehicles are fitted with rear tail-lifts for wheelchair clients.
Vehicles are available during evenings, weekdays and weekend subject to availability. Where the hiring group supplies its own driver he/she must hold a Moray Council "approved driver permit".
All council vehicle hires are subject to availability.
Hire Charges
Vehicles without Driver – ALL drivers must have The Moray Council Driving Permit.
Daily Charge = £55 plus a mileage charge of
- Mileage Charge - £1.33 pence per mile
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. Any additional fuel required will be the responsibility of the hirer.
Vehicles must be returned in a clean and tidy condition. Failure to conform to this instruction will incur a valeting charge.
All vehicles hired from the Public Transport Unit carry an insurance excess of £1,000.

Minimum Daily Charge = £55
- Mileage Charge - £1.33 pence per mile + £22 per hour Mon - Fri or £27 per hour weekend and public holiday
l charges include a 10% administration charge.
