Animal Licence Fees
Please note that where it is necessary to obtain a vet’s report, for any licence type, then a further cost will be incurred. This additional cost is not included in the application fee. Either the applicant can produce satisfactory evidence in the form of a vet’s report or we, as licensing authority, can commission the vet’s report. In both cases applicants will be responsible for the vet’s fees. In the latter case fees will be invoiced by us or passed on. These fees are payable whether or not the licence is ultimately granted. Please note that there is a zero fee for registered charities for rehoming and welfare and a 50% reduction in the application fees for non registered charities with charitable purposes. Please note that this discount is for the application only all other additional fees will still apply.
The application fee can be paid online, by telephone or by cheque made payable to The Moray Council. You can find more information about how to pay your licence fee here.
