Performance Reporting

Welcome to the Council’s Performance Reporting pages.

The Accounts Commission has a statutory power to define the performance information that councils must publish for performance comparison and benchmarking purposes. It fulfils this power by issuing a Statutory Performance Information (SPI) Direction to councils.

The Council delivers on that Direction through its Performance Management Framework, recognising that performance management is not an added extra, it is part of service management and delivery that supports continuous improvement.  The Council's framework (PDF) demonstrates how its components fit together and how individual contributions are made to it. Guidance (PDF) to the framework and continuous improvement is provided.

Data in the performance reporting pages is presented in layers covering Community Performance, Corporate Performance and Service Performance.

  • Community Performance reports on progress against delivery of local priorities included in Moray 10 Year Plan Local Outcomes Improvement Plan.  These local priorities contribute to national outcomes.
  • Corporate Performance draws down the Council’s commitments from the Partnership’s Local Outcomes Improvement Plan, adds in corporate and administrative priorities and reports on progress against delivery.
  • Service Performance draws down the Service’s commitments from corporate priorities, adds in what the service aims to deliver over the coming year and reports on progress against delivery.
